Matthew T. Skinner is an associate attorney at McPhillips, Fitzgerald & Cullum LLP, focusing on civil litigation. His areas of practice include medical malpractice defense, personal injury, contract and business disputes, motor vehicle accidents, estate litigation, and real property litigation. He also assists clients with employment discrimination, criminal matters, and environmental regulation. Before joining the firm, Mr. Skinner served with Flower City AmeriCorps in Rochester, NY, directed the field operations and voter engagement efforts for a successful Congressional campaign in the Finger Lakes, and built and maintained woods roads on a private estate in the Adirondacks. He is admitted to practice in New York State and the Northern District of New York.
Mr. Skinner graduated from Albany Law School in 2022, magna cum laude. While there, he was a President’s Scholar, in the Dean’s Honors Program, a Teaching Assistant for Introduction to Lawyering, the Treasurer for the Albany Law School Rugby Football Club, and the Executive Editor for Submissions of Albany Law Review. He is also a 2017 graduate of Hobart and William Smith Colleges where he graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Philosophy and minors in Physics and Environmental Studies.
