Melissa Dwyer Lescault is a partner with McPhillips, Fitzgerald & Cullum L.L.P. She concentrates her practice in the areas of Real Property Law, Land Use and Zoning Law, Real Estate Finance and Corporate Law. Her professional work has involved all aspects of real estate practice including the sale, lease, finance, and development of commercial, residential and timber properties, representing purchasers, sellers, lending institutions, brokers and creditors. She also acts as examining counsel for Westcor Land Title Insurance Company and Chicago Title Insurance Company.
Her practice involves regular appearances before local Town Boards, Zoning Boards of Appeal and Planning Boards and agencies in furtherance of obtaining necessary permits and approvals for property owners in Saratoga, Warren, Washington and Essex County. Ms. Lescault also has substantial experience with the Adirondack Park Agency, representing clients with Jurisdictional Inquiry Forms (JIF), Minor and Major Permit applications as well as negotiating APA violations and settlement agreements.
She received her undergraduate degree from Siena College in 1998 and earned a joint JD and MBA degree from the Pace University School of Law and Pace University Lubin School of Business in 2002.
